Professor Lu received his MD degree from Anhui Medical University in 19995 and his MS and PhD degrees from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, respectively in 1998 and 2002. He started to work at the Department of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology, School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences since 1998. Professor Lu has served as Professor since 2010, and the Associate Dean of the School of Public Health since 2013.
Professor Lu has received numerous awards including 2 Projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 5 projects supported by Health Ministry and some cross-sectionally collaborative projects. In terms of publication, more than 50 articles have been published, among which 17 articles are published under first author or correspondence author published in the SCI journal.
Professor Lu also served as vice director of Guangzhou preventive medicine council the forth epidemiological council、editor of Zhong Hua cancer prevention journal、and standing director of Guangdong STIs/HIV prevention council.

Professor Lu’s research areas include Environmental pollution and health effects, epidemiology of chronic disease, behavior and health of adolescent.
